Outlook 2000: How do I set up my e-mail account?
1. Open Outlook 2000.
2. Click on Tools.
3. From the drop-down menu, select
Accounts.

4. The Internet Accounts window
will open.
5. Click on the Mail tab.
6. Click Add.
7. Click Mail from the drop-down
menu.

8. The Internet Connection Wizard
will open.
9. Enter your name as you would like for
it to appear in the From field of
outgoing messages.
10. Click Next.

11. In the E-mail address field,
enter your complete e-mail address.
Example, johnsmith@systel.net.
12. Click Next.

13. Select POP3 from the
drop-down box.
14. In the Incoming mail server,
enter smtp.[your domain name]
Example: smtp.systel.net
15. In the Outgoing mail server,
enter smtp.[your domain name]
Example: smtp.systel.net
16. Click Next.

17. Enter your account name. Your
account name is your entire e-mail
address.
18. Enter your e-mail password.
You will not see your password. An
asterisk (*) will appear for each
character entered.
19. Click Next.

20. You will now need to select the
method you will use to connect to the
Internet.
21. Click on the radio button next to
Connect using my local area network
(LAN).
22. Click Next.

23. Click Finish.
24. You are now ready to send and
receive e-mail messages.
